Inspired by oriental design with a nod to Scandi minimalism, Japandi harnesses both Scandinavian and Japanese décor. Celebrating the wonders of Japan with a combination of opulent jacquards, lotus flowers, watercolor foliage, and origami-inspired geometrics, Japandi interiors are linked together with calming neutrals and warm spiced shades that pay homage to East Asian landscapes. Marie explained: “The two design styles compliment each other perfectly and combine to create one harmonious trend, taking the most loved elements from both Scandi and Japanese interiors.”

With decorative jacquards, embroideries, and sheers – the classic designs are proving timeless in the world of design. Featuring stained glass-inspired damasks in the form of unique tapestries, it connects traditional antique interiors with contemporary color palettes. Marie commented: “Whimsical and nostalgic, the Cottagecore trend has been at the forefront of interiors for 2021. The trend offers a reassuring feel in living spaces, creating a place to hibernate away from the outside world.”

Both stylish and on-trend, responsibly sourced fabrics are designed with the environment in mind. Going green can create an ongoing theme within a home, as sustainable materials meet agricultural standards and reduce household carbon footprints. Fabrics are now made with organic cotton and recycled polyester, which reduces the number of harmful chemicals used in the production process and also dramatically decreases the amount of decomposing plastic.
